Does Vitalize take insurance? 

Our providers are In-Network with most major insurance carriers with a few exceptions which you will find below. If you have questions about your benefits or would like us to verify your insurance please call or email us with your member number, DOB and address. If you have any questions about insurance we urge you to take a look at our blog or call or email us. We know navigating benefits can confusing and we're here to help you untangle it. 

Are your services covered under my insurance plan? 

Usually yes! Acupuncture, chiropractic care, naturopathic medicine and massage therapy are typically covered under most major insurance plans. There are some exceptions depending on the plan, insurance company or referral requirements. We are happy to explain any of this information or verify on an individual basis. 

How soon will I know what I will have to pay? 

We do our best to ensure your benefits are verified and this information is passed onto you before your appointment however, in some cases this may not be possible. We encourage you to communicate with us about any insurance related concerns, information or questions before your appointment.  Ultimately, the cost of the appointment may be your responsibility.  If you need urgent details, your insurance company may also be able to provide information regarding your plan coverage.  There are many important questions to ask and some call centers wait to be asked.  Its hard to know which questions to ask.  Let us know if you have questions.

Will I pay at my appointment? 

We ask that patients pay for their portion of the appointment (copay, co-insurance, etc.) in the office at time of service. Please be prepared to pay for your visit and any additional herbs or supplements that might be prescribed.  We accept cash, credit cards, and most HSA cards. 

What if there is an issue with my insurance? 

Our priority is always your care and peace of mind, if any issues or unexpected costs arise we will communicate this information to you as soon as is possible. We will always work with you to ensure you are supported in both care and financial responsibility. We encourage you to communicate any concerns or questions you might have with our staff in order to avoid unnecessary stress. 

Exceptions and specifics:

Our massage therapists are paneled with most major insurance companies excluding CHP (kaiser self referral). We encourage patients interested in receiving massage to contact their primary care provider to obtain a referral. 

Unfortunately the Kaiser CHP panel is currently closed, Dr. Vislocky, DC is still working to get paneled. We will update all current patients on any changes that might occur and encourage you to check back if you are interested in receiving care under insurance coverage.  If you are a Kaiser member let Kaiser know that you would like to see Dr. Vislocky. This will increase her chances and decrease the timeline we wait for her paneling.
