Have you heard of Richard Rohr?

Richard Rohr is a Franciscan Friar and Catholic Mystic, he has written over 30 books on spirituality, and runs The Center for Contemplation and Action in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He has an amazing perspective on life and our times. No matter what other spiritual or religious groups or practices you might take part in, you will find a bright light in Richard Rohr.

As many of you know, the last year has been very challenging for me, filled with grief and loss. Richard Rohr has been a great support. His philosophy along with his gentle yet direct message is heart-opening and healing. If you haven’t already experienced his work, I hope I can motivate you to explore it.

My first experience with Richard Rohr was while listening to Brené Brown’s podcast Unlocking Us. Brené Brown is no longer releasing new episodes, but if you haven’t had a chance to check out Unlocking Us, I think you will love her guests and their messages. Richard Rohr is on her podcast four different times in total. The episodes were very moving, and I have listened to them all multiple times, each time taking away a new highlight. If this sounds interesting, check it out here.

If you have a chance to check out Richard Rohr and you want to experience more of his work, his two most popular books are linked below. The first is Breathing Under Water, which you can find to purchase here. And here is a link to his book Falling Upward. Both are amazing, and I can’t recommend highly enough. You can also find his work on audible for the listeners in the room.

Richard Rohr also hosts two of his own podcasts, which you can find wherever you like to stream your podcasts. I like Another Name For Everything, which I linked here.

If, like me, you can’t get enough of Richard Rohr, the Center For Action and Contemplation offers a daily meditation email delivered directly to you. This is the first thing I read each morning, and while they build upon one another, you don’t need to read them all in order to enjoy them.

I hope you enjoy the work of Richard Rohr while deepening your spiritual practice, bringing healing, and perhaps even uniting us.
