First, we would like to say that cleanliness in an acupuncture clinic is very important as we provide medical care like any other clinic or doctor’s office. In addition to an acupuncturist’s education, we have training in clean needle technique. This outlines and guides us on how to keep everyone, even the most immunocompromised patients safe and well. Given the nature of things right now, we thought we’d take an opportunity to tell you how we go about keeping our clinic clean and safe for our patients.
treatment rooms
Our providers take special care in our treatment rooms between each patient. We remove all the linens that were used for any part of the previous patient’s care, the headrest, all surfaces, doorknobs are wiped down, and five to ten minutes time is also allowed whenever possible so that air has time to circulate and clear.
common area spaces
We have a team of committed support staff who wipe up, down, and around all the surfaces of our lobby and common areas multiple times throughout their workday to ensure that our space stays clean, feels clean, and even smells clean. Additionally, these hard workers wipe doors and walls weekly and as needed.
Our space has two HEPA filtered air purifiers that run 24/7 to support clean and clear air in our space and we check and change filters regularly.
laundry
We have our own on-site laundry which allows us to control load size, washing temperature, steam drying, and non-allergenic soap. We do not use or fabric softeners.
professionally cleaned
Aside from our staff’s hustle to keep things clean for our patients throughout the day, we also have a professional nightly cleaning crew that comes into the space to vacume, sweep and mop floors, clean sinks, toilets, mirrors, and remove trash. In addition, once weekly we move all smaller items out of the rooms so that our floors can be deep cleaned.
